Abstract / Summary
The Singapore’s retail sector is highly developed and competitive, total sales in 2017 were US$6.2 billion, annual growth of 1%. The four major categories of retailers are: (1) large retailers including supermarkets and hypermarkets; (2) convenience retailers; (3) traditional stores and (4) specialty stores. The sector is dominated by three key players: the NTUC FairPrice Cooperative, Dairy Farm International Holdings and Sheng Siong Supermarket.
